Kitchen Fitting in Chatham

Kitchen fitting in Chatham done properly, from stripping out the old units to the final worktop seal. Plumbing, electrics, tiling and plastering all covered. Free quotes and guaranteed work.

Taking Out the Old Kitchen

The old units, worktops and appliances come out first, with water and gas isolated safely. What is behind them is usually patchy plaster, old tile adhesive and pipework running the wrong way. Clearing it all properly is what makes the new kitchen sit true.

More Information

Getting the Walls and Floor Ready

Walls are patched or skimmed and floors levelled before any unit goes down. Pipes and cables are moved to suit the new layout while the walls are open. It is far easier to move a socket now than after the worktop is in.

Fitting Units, Worktops and Appliances

Base units go in level and square, then wall units, then the worktop. Laminate is cut and joined on site. Stone and composite are templated and fitted by the supplier after the units are in. Appliances, sink, taps, extractor and splashback finish the room.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does kitchen fitting take in Chatham?

One to two weeks for most kitchens. A straight replacement in the same layout is quicker. Moving the sink or cooker, replastering walls or laying a new floor adds days. Stone worktops are templated once units are in and fitted a week or so later.

Can you fit a kitchen I have bought myself?

Yes. Plenty of our Chatham customers buy their kitchen from a showroom or a national supplier and have us fit it. Get the delivery booked before your start date and check the order against the plan when it arrives, because missing panels hold up the whole job.

Do you move plumbing and electrics for a new kitchen?

Yes. Sockets, lights, waste pipes and feeds are moved to suit the new layout during first fix, before units go in. Notifiable electrical work is certified. If you want an island or the sink on a different wall, tell us early so it is priced in.
